French luxury fashion house Yves Saint Laurent filed NFT and Metaverse related trademark applications for its name and logo with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on January 12, 2023.

According to the filings, Yves Saint Laurent intends to launch NFTs with perfumery, toiletries, cosmetics, makeup, skincare preparations, and much more for use in the metaverse.

The filings also imply that Yves Saint Laurent intends to make direct sales through established retailers in the metaverse that sell these virtual goods. The files contain illustrations, text, audio, and video for these products.
