As part of its ongoing efforts to establish metaverse partnerships with startups, Warner Music Group has signed a deal with DressX, a company that develops digital fashion apparel both on and off the blockchain, effective Thursday.
Warner Music artists will be able to produce and license portable devices and digital products for fans through the partnership. According to a statement, the products would be wearable 3D avatars or virtual clothing that can be viewed in augmented reality (AR) on platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat.
Major talents like Lizzo, Madonna, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Dua Lipa and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are just some of the well-known artists spread across Warner’s various sub-labels.
