The Apple Reality Pro, an upcoming AR/VR headset, has been in the buzz for a while now. In a new detailed report, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has highlighted a lot of information about Apple Reality Pro, including the expected price and release date.
According to the report, Apple Reality Pro could launch at the WWDC event in the US and could be priced at $3,000.
Apple Reality Pro design:
Apple Reality Pro could debut with aluminum, glass, and cushions that Gurman says will resemble AirPods Max. It is said to feature a curved screen at the front which will ultimately help users to better witness the images. Furthermore, Gurman in his report also mentioned that the Apple Reality Pro could be powered by Apple’s M2 processor and will have a huge battery installed.
How Apple Reality Pro will be different from Meta Quest Pro:
Apple Reality Pro will reportedly have face and eye tracking along with AR/VR and will run on its own interface and function as a video consumption device. Also, the device will get external cameras to track hand movements and sensors inside to track eye movements.
This means that Reality Pro will not require any physical buttons to control the device, which sets it apart from all current devices.
Apple Reality Pro hardware:
Interestingly, the report also claims that Apple’s upcoming AR/VR headset would have a digital crown, much like all smartwatches that can be used to switch between VR and AR modes. the fully immersed environment will fade out and be surrounded by the user’s actual environment which Gurman says would be the USP of the product.
Next Generation FaceTime Experience:
The Reality Pro, according to Gurman, will realistically render a person’s face and full body in a virtual environment. It will help connect two people in virtual reality, bringing them closer to reality, and it will be far superior to Meta’s current headsets.
Apple Reality Headset Pro:
According to Bloomberg, Apple Reality Pro can be used as an external monitor for Mac. Also, while viewing the screen in virtual reality, users can continue to use their computer’s physical keyboard and trackpad.
Also, Reality Pro could transform the online movie streaming experience into a theater-like experience, but to receive Spatial Audio, users would need to use AirPods.
However, it would be interesting to see how the new device would perform in the Indian market.
