University Academy 92 (UA92) has announced that it will join the metaverse in 2023, with NFT achievement awards for students.

The Greater Manchester campus has worked with international agency, DigiSomni and its open source metaverse platform Vircadia to build out the virtual world as it looks to open up its campus to global audiences and better serve international and remote students.

UA92 says the launch and subsequent award of NFTs for graduates is a world first for the education sector and sets it apart as it transforms and modernizes the higher education offering.
