CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government is trying to come up with new policies and revise existing policies based on industry suggestions to nurture the web3 ecosystem, said state information technology minister Mano Thangaraj.
The state has great talent and therefore has potential in emerging technologies, he said. the minister
spoke at the Tech Next 2022 – Future of Tech Web 3.0 conference hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) here.
“We have initiated interactions with the information technology (IT) sector and academia and we could generate changes in the sector,” he said. Mano Thangaraj further said that the department runs various efforts including iTNT Hub.
Its goal is to connect start-ups working in deep and emerging technology areas with the academic network of more than 570 engineering schools, and to engage with researchers and industry partners to stimulate innovation.
