The metaverse is an emotionally arousing subject: people tend to fall into the categories of hype, skeptic, and dismissive.
Tech companies are hoping it’s the next big thing. Heck, Facebook even changed its name to Meta in anticipation of the new technology, and it has invested more than $15 billion in building this new virtual world.
