When Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company he founded would change its name from Facebook to Meta, he added that it would be “metaverse first, not Facebook first.” He showed off dystopian VR offices, looked into space in VR with Neil deGrasse Tyson, and discussed the metaverse on Joe Rogan’s podcast. (During that appearance, Zuckerberg said that he started MMA, doing critical damage to the sport along the way.)
This year’s Connect kicks off at 10am PT today, with a keynote address from Zuckerberg, and Engadget’s Karissa Bell has many of the questions we still need to answer.
