In what appears to be the longest interview session Do Kwon has had since the collapse of Terraform Labs and its associated LUNA and UST tokens, founder Do Kwon has granted over an hour of interview crypto journalist and Unchained podcast host Laura Shin.
In the interview, Kwon said that he is currently cooperating with South Korean regulators, but has not felt the need to turn himself in as he has yet to see an arrest warrant from prosecutors.
“We haven’t seen a copy of the arrest warrant, so all the data we’re consuming is from the media,” Kwon said, stating that all document requests he received were dealt with.
One of the biggest talking points with Shin was the remorse he felt for the entire collapse of the protocol. He emphatically stated that he was “sorry” how it all turned out and said that he believes all investors in LUNA and UST believed his claims that the algorithmic stablecoin can be held stable.
Kwon said he believes the accusations of fraud and scams are unwarranted and all investors deserve to know what really happened. He said that he understands that it is very difficult to walk away with huge losses and that is part of what breaks him the most.
The embattled developer said that in addition to the collapse of the LUNA and UST tokens and the ecosystem that was built around the coins, it has contributed positively to the growth of the crypto ecosystem in the five years that it has been a leader in the space.
Despite the interview lasting over an hour, Kwon did not reveal his location, and in addition to the South Korean prosecutors who are in the hunt for himInterpol has also issued a red notice for him, making him one of the most wanted humans alive.
