The founder of one of the metaverse’s top companies says the rapid development of ChatGPT has moved the timeline for one of his most ambitious and eccentric projects by a matter of years. In an interview with Motherboard, Somnium Space’s Artur Sychov said that a user began to integrate the OpenAI chatbot into the metaverse of his, creating a virtual assistant that offers a faster path for the development of “Live for ever”, Sychov’s project to allow people to store the way they speak, move and sound until after they die, when they can return from the dead as an online avatar to talk to their relatives.
