Sony takes a deep dive into the metaverse with wearable motion-tracking devices

Sony, the Japanese consumer electronics giant, introduced Mocopi, the new-age motion tracking wearable series, in Tokyo. It is a lightweight and portable motion capture system that can be used to control a digital avatar in real time within metaverse apps like VR Chat. This technology records the movement of the whole body using small and light equipment.
