Metaverse and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) are among the top five innovations that Singaporean companies believe will impact their business over the next 12 months. These technologies will present opportunities and challenges, including the difficulty in accessing relevant ESG data.

Some 82% of companies said the metaverse would have a major or moderate impact on their business over the next year, while 84% believed this impact would be felt in three years, according to a study published by technology company financial services, FIS.
