PUBG creator Brendan ‘PlayerUnkown’ Greene says his new game is a 15-year-old metaverse-style project that could make use of the blockchain to power its economy.

Greene announced Prologue a long time ago during The Game Awards in 2019, and you’d be forgiven if you’re still confused about what it really is. In short, Prologue is a tech demo that will build a huge world for you to explore as you enter the game, and there will be some sort of survival system to challenge you once you’re in the world. Prologue, then, will be a proof of concept for a much larger project currently called Artemis.
