On Friday, the largest NFT exchange Opensea delisted the blue chip NFT collection Azuki. As word spread about the delisting, Azuki NFT collection He quickly took to Twitter to clear up all the misconceptions.

the azuki team fixedquoting BAYC’s tweet from when they were also delisted in June:

“We have reached out to @opensea regarding the opt-out emails sent to Azuki holders, awaiting a response. Our working theory is that we are facing a bug/issue similar to this. Please check Discord for live updates, @DemnaAzuki will also be tweeting as we work to resolve this issue.”

Shortly after the Azuki update, Opensea also tweeted about the delisting and confirmed that it was a technical issue on their part.

The team stated:

Hello everyone, bad morning. There was a bug in our Trust & Safety signaling system and several Azuki NFTs were briefly delisted. We worked quickly to resolve the issue and all affected items have been re-listed. Also, we are in direct contact with the @AzukiOfficial team.”

The official cheep from Opensea was published about two hours after discovering the problem. The NFT market further apologized for the problem, saying:

“We are very sorry for any inconvenience and confusion this may have caused.”

Thankfully, the glitch has now been fixed as Azuki has been relisted to Opensea. Surprisingly, even when this happened, the floor price of the Azuki NFT remained constant and was not volatile. It kept hovering around 10 ETHand at the time of writing, it was pegged at 10.2 ETH.

Notably, this is not the first time Opensea has delisted a top-tier NFT due to a technical error. In June, Bored Ape Yacht Club’s well-known and prominent NFT collection was also briefly removed from the list. While the cause of this Opensea glitch is unclear, the ramifications appear to be curable.
