Today, Nolcha Shows prepares to launch a web3 satellite event, amplifying the energy around Art Basel Miami Beach at 6 p.m. and leading web3 brands.
An award-winning creator of experiential web3 events, Nolcha Shows has produced events for 15 years and most recently led one of the most prominent mixed reality in-person web3 fashion events at the iconic World Trade Center during New York Fashion Week. “It is natural for us to highlight digital artists during Art Basel. Communities come together in person to learn, partner and be creative. Art and fashion invest heavily in web3 technologies, where the new generation spends their time on mobile devices, gaming and digital collecting. In the cross section of it all, think, Nolcha Shows,” said Arthur Mandel, co-founder of Nolcha Shows.
Staying true to its web3 roots, the event will also include HOLOPRTL-X, an activation that can transport anyone into a holographic pod, giving them the ability to communicate with the public in a new way.
In addition, the event will celebrate innovative web3 companies, including:
- Endstate, a lifestyle brand that blends the physical and the digital to connect people with what they are passionate about
- Cortex Network, a web3 content sharing network with leading domain names such as .ape, which gives users the ability to create NFT projects as .ape subdomains, giving NFT projects new ways to communicate through their own NFT.
- CrashPunks, the first NFT collection on Bitcoin with an animated series that was created using AI and AR/VR technology, will interact with guests on the site through games and interactive storytelling.
The main lead partner of the event is LIFE, a recently launched online booking platform that offers hotel reservations and experiences that can be digitized and turned into tradable and collectible NFTs. Using NFTs that represent hotel stays or tickets to movies, concerts, and other events, LIFE enables travelers to show where they’ve been, where they are, and where they’re going, and allows them to trade those reservations in an open marketplace.
LIFE has an outstanding leadership team, including Eduardo Ibañez, former Chief Scientific Officer of Priceline, Shawn Sloves, CEO of Velocity Ledger and Fundamental Interactions, and David Shuler, Founder and Chairman of Y2X and former Chief of Staff of Goldman Sachs. The team is leveraging its technology expertise to transform the way travel and entertainment is done.
“We are taking that and adding to it by allowing users to exchange their room reservations with each other, like StubHub does with tickets,” said Eduardo Ibañez, founder of LIFE. They also use AI to provide and customize rewards and missions for the user. “If you’ve traveled to 49 of the 50 states, we may incentivize you with 90% off that last state as a token of our appreciation. Or, if you book certain trips around the events, we can offer you a free ticket to the next event you want,” continued Ibañez.
Nolcha Shows continues to build out its web3 event series, recognizing that digital experiences will only become more important in the years to come. “Brands and creators will offer audiences the opportunity to experience digital worlds in new physical environments and physical worlds in digital environments…regardless of the currency they choose to use,” Mandel continued.
