In a statement announcing the appointment of Josh Sell, Matt Ricchetti, president of N3twork Studios, said:
“Josh is a world class product executive who brings a lot of Web2 and Web3 gaming experience to N3twork Studios. With Josh on board, we will be able to take our next two titles to the next level, particularly as we move into live operations on both in 2023.”
Josh has overseen the launch of popular apps
N3twork Studios seems to have picked up on a natural talent in Josh seeing the many popular franchises he has spearheaded at different companies.
Throughout his time at Tinder, Josh oversaw a host of launches, perhaps most notably the “Explore” tab, which introduced a new way for singles around the world to find matches online. Josh has also held a similar role at Glu Mobile, where he spearheaded the development of the popular ‘Deer Hunter’.
He also served as General Manager and Vice President at King, where he oversaw the operation of the ‘Fram Heroes’ franchise. He was also the General Manager of Mobile for NCSoft.
Most recently, prior to being hired by N3twork Studios, Josh co-founded the innovative gaming startup Web3 Midnight and pioneered the company’s interoperability strategy.
Josh’s new roles at N3twork Studios
In addition to spearheading development on Legendary: Heroes Unchained and Triumph, Josh will also support President Matt Richetti in managing the day-to-day operations of the studio.
While accepting the appointment, Josh said:
“What drew me to N3twork Studios was a combination of talented people, amazing products, and a clear opportunity to make an impact. The people I met with before joining were intrinsically driven by the consumer experience. His views aligned perfectly with mine on how Web3 can generate genuine and sustained benefit for players. I also got my hands on the products before joining and loved them; there is a great opportunity for success here.”
Josh’s appointment to the N3twork Studios team underscores the studio’s status as one of the top RPG studios looking for more success in 2023. The studio has several video game pedigrees, including the hit mobile RPG Legendary: Game of Heroes, which has brought in around $300 million in revenue for the company.
