Game developers support the formation of unions. Most of them work for independent studios rather than blockbuster companies. They are skeptical of attempts to build the metaverse, a concept that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg bet on for his company, and most of them oppose efforts to integrate blockchain technology like NFTs into their games.
These findings all come from a new survey of 2,300 professionals released this week by the Game Developers Conference, a long-standing organization that hosts some of the industry’s most highly regarded events and awards.
