The metaverse doesn’t look bright at Microsoft.

Microsoft’s mass layoffs are part of a trend with Big Tech going through some major realignments. With expansion during the height of the pandemic, as people spent more on tech products than lockdowns, tech companies like Meta, Amazon and Google cut costs and tens of thousands of people paid the price when they were laid off.
