Soon after, Microsoft rushed another release to prevent the problem from spreading. Unfortunately, it took quite a while for the company to ship a fix for the affected devices. Surface Go and Go 2 owners can finally revive their devices affected by the bug.
Microsoft has released a new firmware update for the first-generation Surface Go with a unique fix for the bug that crashes the small tablet. Of course, you can’t update a computer if it doesn’t shut down, so Microsoft has put together a guide showing how to revive the Surface Go and Surface Go 2. You can check the detailed instructions on the official Microsoft support website.
It is worth noting that the “No Boot Device” error occurred only on entry-level configurations with eMMC storage. Users with more expensive variants of the Surface Go and Go 2 shouldn’t bother applying emergency fixes if their devices continue to function normally.
