Meta will continue to dedicate 20% of its investments to its metaverse business.

While that portion goes to its dedicated business for such projects, Reality Labs, the other 80% will still go to Meta’s core business, Meta’s CTO and Reality Labs director. andres bosworth said on a Monday (Dec. 19) blog post.

“It’s a level of investment that we think makes sense for a company committed to staying at the forefront of one of the world’s most competitive and innovative industries,” Bosworth said in the post.

In 2023, Meta will introduce the successor to its best-selling virtual reality (VR) headset, Meta Quest 2, and will showcase new games at the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase in the spring, Bosworth said.
