Recently, a virtual piece of land tokenized as NFTs sold for $11,666, or 5.18 times the minimum price of 1.7 Ethereum or $11.66 USD. The collection includes more than 97,000 plots of land, each 52 square feet and 16 meters by 16 meters.

Land prices in The Sandbox and Decentraland skyrocketed following Facebook’s rebranding as a goal. Due to its size and proximity to the center of the metaverse, virtual land usually commands a premium when it is sold.
