Metaform and XP&DLand have announced a MetaPujo, which will attempt to bring Kolkata’s Durga puja celebrations to the metaverse. Ahiritola Sarbojanin, Deshapriya Park, Ballygunge Cultural, and Tala Prattay pandals will be accessible through three-dimensional (3D) twins in the metaverse.

According to Metaform and XP&DLand, MetaPujo will introduce four non-fungible tokens (NFT) of Durga idols from the most visited pandals in Kolkata. The platform has hubs planned around 3D recreations of the pandals, where users of ‘Spatial’, a metaverse platform, can enter a shared social space where people from all over the world can meet and walk, interact and even drink Photographs.
