GUEST INTERVIEW: Saltwater Games has released an exciting preview of the Celeros platform, upon which AirspeederXR is built, with CEO and Founder Len Findlay joining iTWireTV to explain the who, how, where, what and why this is a game that absolutely you will want. to fly.
As I explained in my article from the end of October 2022, titled: “AirspeederXR: Flying cars are not just real, they are already racing and will soon be a virtual vroomstick that anyone can drive”, flying cars are a reality.
Sure, we still don’t see them flying across the Sydney Harbor Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, or Golden Gate Bridge, and a flying car wouldn’t need any bridge, but the shortened version of this sentence would be that flying race. cars are a great bridge to bring flying cars into mainstream consciousness.
Now, before we get to the video interview, let’s get in first position and check out the new teaser video!
For those who want to know more, you should definitely visit the Saltwater Games website, and you can join the community on the Discord channel where you can learn more about Celeros and AirspeederXR here: Discord.gg/Celeros
There’s also this LinkedIn post from Airspeeder CEO Matthew Pearson.
Ok, now it’s time to hear from Len Findlay, the CEO and founder of Saltwater Games, who describes himself on his LinkedIn profile as “Founder and Serial Entrepreneur for over 25 years with multiple significant exits around the world in Integration of Technology Systems, CyberSecurity, AI, Identity/Access Management and more”, and also as “Most recently focused on a new global technology company deep in Web 3.0 NFT Impact Gaming and Asset Tokenisation”, and also as a director and investor in Airspeeder .
The interview is embedded below, and it’s definitely worth watching – Len was a lot of fun talking to and learning from him, and his current journey is certainly impressive. Len also explains the whole spirit of “Play to Impact”, and why this is huge, and real, as opposed to some of the “effective altruism” stuff that the now-arrested SBF_FTX was spouting.
After the video, a summary of the topics we talked about is listed, so please watch and keep reading!
- I began by introducing Len and his impressive comprehensive experience of over a quarter of a century in a variety of businesses globally, including philanthropic and advisory roles in several cutting-edge and up-to-date technology verticals, with his LinkedIn profile stating that he talks about # nft, #web3, #evtol, #gaming and #innovation, noting that he is a real pleasure to talk to, and welcoming Len to the show.
|
- Given that Saltwater Games describes itself as “The Future of Web3 Mixed Reality Gaming,” I asked Len to start by defining Web3 and then introduce Saltwater Games and the cool new things it creates.
- The following was my sweeping summary from the Saltwater Games site, which claims that the company plays in the tech, gaming, community, and financial spaces, and not only embraces gaming to win as part of its Web3 nature, but also introduces a new “play to impact”, and that this platform is called the Celeros World Racing platform.
- I asked Len to talk us through this in more detail, including the game engine it runs on and is supported by the platform.
- We then discuss what Play to Impact means and what inspired Len to think about, develop and add this feature and benefit.
- Following this, Len explained the partnership with Airspeeder, the new AirspeederXR game now in development, and how the two companies meet to create what promises to be an epically awesome, emotionally impactful, and electronically electrifying experience.
- Len also discussed the ways that the best AirspeederXR drivers can become real world Airspeeder racing flying car drivers, if they are willing to do so.
- With Celeros already in an invite-only beta, scheduled to enter public beta in mid-2023, Len gave us a hint as to when AirspeederXR will also enter beta status.
- I then noticed that Saltwater Games is indeed a start-up, one that seems to be doing very well, so I asked Len what the challenges and lessons learned so far have been that he could share to inspire and warn others to follow suit. Len’s business
- Len shared how big the team is and where their headquarters and offices are located, as well as anything else we needed to know about Saltwater Games that we haven’t already discussed.
- We end with a variety of my usual questions: how should Saltwater Games evolve in the coming years, Len’s thoughts on the metaverse and how it’s shown on the TV show “The Peripheral” on Prime Video, memories of Len’s first computer , his own story in the world of technology, why he decided to start a video game company, the first video game he ever played, the great advice he received in life, and Len’s final message to viewers, readers, and future beta testers, clients and partners.

ENABLE HYBRID CLOUD AND REDUCE NETWORK LATENCY
Hybrid cloud promises to bring together the best of both worlds, allowing businesses to combine the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud with the performance and control you can get from your on-premises infrastructure.
Reducing WAN latency is one of the biggest issues with hybrid cloud performance. Taking advantage of data compression and deduplication can reduce the latency of your network.
Research firm, Markets and Markets, predicted that the hybrid cloud market size is expected to grow from $38.27 billion in 2017 to $97.64 billion in 2023.
Colocation facilities provide many of the benefits of having your servers in the cloud while maintaining physical control of your systems.
The cloud adjacency provided by colocation facilities can allow you to take advantage of your high-bandwidth, low-latency connections to the cloud, as well as provide a robust connection to your local corporate network.
