Walled gardens on steroids?

The World Economic Forum has identified three critical components of a functional metaverse: presence, interoperability, and standardization. As augmented and virtual reality experiences continue to evolve, it is critical to build interoperability and standardization into the foundation of the Metaverse to avoid creating silos and walled gardens. The potential of the metaverse to drive significant economic growth is enormous, but we must create an open metaverse to fully harness this potential.
