Architectural firms Grimshaw, HWKN, WHY and Farshid Moussavi have teamed up with metaverse company Pax.world to create a series of virtual hubs based on the ancient Silk Road.

Each architecture firm designed a metaserai, a concept referencing caravanserais, which were roadside inns on the Silk Road, where users of the metaverse could trade, attend cultural events and network.
