Bangalore: Flipkart partnered with Ethereum-based blockchain platform Polygon on Friday to establish a center of excellence (CoE) that will work on research and development of Web3 and metaverse trading use cases in India.

Still in its infancy, decentralized technologies have yet to go mainstream.

However, the partnership will be an opportunity to create a big impact and fulfill the promise of Web3 for all, the companies said in a statement.

“With the COE, we look forward to working with Polygon and leveraging their expertise and experience to successfully onboard users not only to the Web3 or Metaverse commerce value proposition, but to Web3 in general,” said Jeyandran Venugopal, Head of Product and Technology Official, Flipkart.
