On an August episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the CEO of Meta said that the evolution of virtual reality will play out in a similar way to computers and cell phones: Gamers are the first to explore new technologies, followed by users. main ones who want to use it for socializing.

But the metaverse already appears to be morphing beyond that traditional trajectory, Zuckerberg said. He sees fitness apps like Peloton as a third step in the evolution of virtual reality because his technology connects people around the world through physical movement.
