Whether he’s gearing up for a ride in the Peloton or shopping for virtual real estate, Mark Zuckerberg says he’s joined the metaverse.
In an August episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the CEO of Meta said that the evolution of virtual reality will unfold in a similar way to computers and cell phones: gamers are the first to explore new technologies, followed by users. who want to use it to socialize.
But the metaverse already appears to be transforming beyond that traditional trajectory, Zuckerberg said. He sees fitness apps like Peloton as a third step in the evolution of virtual reality because its technology connects people around the world through physical movement.
“This was pretty much my theory: ‘Gaming is the number one use case for virtual reality. [virtual reality]'” Zuckerberg said on the podcast….
