MENLO PARK, Calif. Meta announced a new initiative to give back to the California community by providing local homeless residents with their own Meta-branded VR headsets as a way to integrate them into Zuckerberg’s Metaverse project.
“As necessary and fast as technology has become, many in the world consider themselves archaic and out of step with modern trends,” Zuckerberg said. “With Meta’s new charitable push, we’re looking to give homeless people access to the most realistic and realistic world to explore completely free of charge. On the contrary, this helps Meta expand the reality of its digital world, with online users now being hassled for digital currency by real people, real homeless people. Truly amazing.”
