Cimu Games has announced that it is using Ready Games’ web3 game development tools to relaunch its Runestone Keeper, which has sold millions of units. The web3-enabled beta version of the title, which won Best Gameplay at the 2014 Unity Awards, will launch late Q1 on PC, consoles and mobile, the first of its kind for web3 games.

Cimu Games, whose parent company is Innoteg, is famous for its mobile and console web2 games. His team believes that web3 is the future of gaming and has chosen to use Ready’s cross-platform technology to enter this growing sector of the market.

Ready Games’ web3 migration platform is already being used by six games with others, including Runestone Keeper, due to be added in Q1 following the full release of the Ready technology stack. Runestone Keeper won SlideDb’s “App of the Year” in 2015 before being released to great acclaim on Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox. Ready’s tech stack will now allow it to be released as a web3 compatible game on PC, mobile and consoles.

Runestone Keeper is scheduled for a beta release in March before a full release later in Q2.
