Chinese video streaming platform IQIYI, Inc. (NASDAQ: IQ) The extended reality (XR) business showcased the first headsets in a new product line, incorporating elements of augmented, virtual and mixed reality technology.

Qiyu, formerly called iQiyi Smart, launched Qiyu Mix on Monday, Caixin Global reports.

The headset is a first for the subsidiary, which previously focused only on virtual reality products.

XR is a mixed bag for AR, VR and MR that are likely to be integral parts of the metaverse, a form of the next generation of the internet.

IQIYI revenue declined 2% yoy to $1.1bn in the third quarter, beating consensus of $1.03bn. It marked an improvement as revenue declined 13% year-over-year to $993.8 million in the second quarter.
