Blocto, a startup running on the Aptos blockchain, is looking to attract the next billion users to the Web3 ecosystem.
On Wednesday, the startup team announced that this goal is highly achievable through its independent on-chain wallet. This is the key to the mass adoption of blockchain technology, Blocto said in a press release shared with Invezz.

Blocto seeks to attract a billion people to Web3
The cryptocurrency industry remains in the midst of a brutal bear market, with recent events adding to the downturn in the market for most digital assets.
But despite the crypto winter, industry-wide adoption has not stopped. In fact, there have been positive signs of a return to an upward trajectory regarding the metric given the recent record turnout during blockchain events, particularly in Asian countries.
According to Blocto, the growing activity around Web3 and interest from the public was evident during one of the blockchain events in Taipei, Taiwan. A collaboration between the startup and the Aptos team demonstrated the need for a user-friendly wallet that simplifies the user experience regarding Web3 login.
To help bring the next billion people into the ecosystem, Blocto is working on chain-agnostic wallet solutions that make the user experience during the process not only easy, but also transparent and secure. This will unlock the adoption boost as more people reluctant to enter the space due to the complex learning curve will find it to be a simple wallet option.
For Blocto, which currently has more than 1.6 million users worldwide, the mission is to take the complexity out of seed phrases and passwords and get users on board through an intuitive email login process. .
Such a wallet helps Web3 adoption through what becomes an accessible blockchain ecosystem, the Blocto team said. What Invezz covered in November, Blocto moved to supplement its adoption efforts with a $3 million fund for the Aptos ecosystem.
The platform has also signed multiple strategic agreements, including with global brands like MotoGP and Yahoo. Blocto has also recently integrated with the Flow blockchain, whose ecosystem features IPs like NBA Top Shot.
