Multiple job openings posted in recent months seem to indicate that Apple is building its own metaverse.
Apple has long been rumored to be developing a mixed reality headset to compete with the Oculus Quest Pro and HoloLens 2, but now Bloomberg reports that the company is also creating a hub for virtual and augmented reality worlds to go along with the device.

The company’s internal Technology Development Group (TDG) has been constantly posting suspicious job offers. They are looking for software developers well-versed in virtual and augmented environments and engineers who can work on VR/AR-oriented development tools.
