The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has entered the metaverse for the first time with a fully immersive 3D scale model of the Tomb of Lihyan, Son of Kuza of Hegra, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Created in the digital landscape, Decentraland, the AlUla monument will be accessible to virtual tourists who will be able to explore it from anywhere in the world. It has become the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in the metaverse.

Metaverse users will be able to access portions of the site that are not accessible to real-world visitors.
