Web 3.0 will usher in data security in the Metaverse. But how far is it possible?

Until the Cambridge Analytica scandal broke in 2018, most internet users had no idea that the internet as a safe space is a false concept. Users are data collectors with every interaction on the Internet generating a large amount of personal information. That is the history of Web2. Now that Web 3.0 is here, the Metaverse concept is supposed to ring a warning bell, for the immersive technologies the platform will deploy to give users otherworldly virtual experiences.
