It’s been a while since Facebook changed its parent company’s name to Meta, and suffice it to say that things haven’t gone so well for them since then. Amid a broader decline in the global economy, as well as turmoil within the tech industry, Meta has struggled to find its footing.
With its stock price plummeting and users fleeing its main social media platform in droves, Meta’s emphasis on the metaverse has come into question. Although this is the case, Meta Product Director Chris Cox seems to think that the metaverse could one day be as ubiquitous as the smartphone.
