Beyond the graph: Despite many major brands dipping their toes into the metaverse, the technology just isn’t taking off the way some (cough, Meta) hoped. In the US, the number of people accessing virtual reality (VR) overall will only grow by single-digit percentages through 2025, stagnating at just over a fifth of the population, according to our forecast.
To accelerate adoption, VR marketers and platforms need to take the time to educate consumers, not only on what the metaverse is and how to use it, but also on the benefits it can provide.
