“A group of researchers, builders, and activists came together to discuss platform cooperativism and the intersection with the web3 movement. We talked about some of the key points from the history of coops that can be applied to the development of new platforms and protocols for Internet, as well as the challenges platform cooperatives face scaling alternative models of ownership and control.Therefore, we investigate how Internet developers and start-ups might learn from the shared history of cooperatives and how, in practice, can build systems that respect cooperative ideals.
