There are two words that will make gamers of a certain age weak in the knees: Power Glove. We’re not saying Driver-X was inspired by Nintendo’s legendary accessory when it came up with its “Contact Glove” VR controller, but comparisons will be inevitable.
Driver-X’s VR Haptic Gloves do double duty as a sensory feedback tool to “grasp” objects in a virtual world, and as a VR controller. The company claims that it is the first VR glove to use microcoils to provide a more authentic tactile experience. The coils encircle your fingers, and when a current is applied, they contract a connected film to hopefully provide a more realistic sensory experience.
