Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 27, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Crete, a Web3 entertainment company that develops and publishes video games and a suite of Web3 gaming solutions, reveals the gameplay of the upcoming blockchain game Kingdom Under Fire: The Rise and showcases the progress made in building its ecosystem of Web3 products, comprised of a one-stop gaming platform, the metaverse, and the Super Club blockchain gaming community service.

The announcement was made at Creta Summit 2022 in Tokyo, Japan, which was attended by gaming and blockchain fans from Japan and abroad, heralding a major step forward in bringing advances in Web3 to the gaming arena.

Gameplay footage from the upcoming Kingdom Under Fire: The Rise put Summit’s engine to work, teasing out the title’s look and feel with a sneak peek at the NFT avatar system, one of the many applications of non-expendable tokens in the game. Ray Nakazato, Creta’s Creative Director, provided an insight into how blockchain will be leveraged in KUF: “Some characters and items acquired during gameplay will be converted to NFTs and can be traded or purchased. The announcement of other blockchain games that have been in active development by Crete comes as an added icing. Not much is known about their genres or specifications, except for the names of upcoming titles: Tokyo War Hana and Sakura, Fortress, and Warhands.

The event also revealed progress in the development of the gaming platform, the metaverse, and Super Club, a blockchain community service. KUF and other giant games developed by Crete will be released and played through the tailor-made gaming platform, similar to how games are played on prominent Web2 platforms now. The metaverse layer will offer extended social and economic features for users who want more fun and greater use of NFTs. Super Club will drive community-building behavior for gamers looking to familiarize themselves with the benefits of blockchain gaming, as well as a hub to relax and share gaming experiences.

Expanding on the concept of land previously featured as a purchasable NFT, Creta revealed the apps for parcels that owners can take advantage of once the metaverse shift button turns green. Private sectors of the metaverse will come with areas responsible for the location of packages where decoration, player vs. player battles, and participation in shared entertainment experiences such as hunting, driving, and fishing are possible.
