Web3 domain provider Unstoppable Domains will integrate with popular Ethereum blockchain explorer Etherscan as well as Polygonscan in early 2023, the company said Thursday.

The integration will allow users to look up any unstoppable domain addresses on Etherscan and Polygonscan to analyze on-chain data and track transactions. It will also display domains that are readable (such as a .crypto domain) in both browsers, rather than just long and complicated wallet addresses.

“Starting with easy access to human-readable blockchain data, we are helping Etherscan and Polygonscan users get the most out of their digital identities,” said Sandy Carter, senior vice president and channel head of Unstoppable Domains, in a statement from press.

Web3 domains have seen an increase in registrations in recent months. With Unstoppable Domains, users can connect their crypto wallet addresses to a .crypto domain name, much like Internet users type .com or .gov into a browser to access Internet Protocol numeric addresses from the websites. The Ethereum Name Service is another popular web3 domain provider that connects user addresses on the Ethereum blockchain with .eth domains.

“Web3 domain names make a huge difference in the usability and transparency of blockchain data,” said Matthew Tan, CEO of Etherscan, in the press release. “With Unstoppable Domains, Etherscan and Polygonscan users can better understand all the activity happening on the chain.”

In August, Unstoppable Domains released an iPhone app to bring Web3 identities to users’ cell phones.
