David Johansson, CEO of Seascapes, hosted a discussion at Benzinga’s Future of Crypto event on ‘The State of Venture Funding in Crypto and Web3’. The panel discussed that the rush to invest in Web3 last year was unprecedented because many investors were afraid of missing out on opportunities.

In 2022, investors have been much more selective and done their due diligence; the landscape has changed dramatically towards more calculated and conscious risk financing. Some panel members believe that next year will be the year of value-added services that will finally help stabilize the market. One example that was mentioned was companies that focus on security in Web3.
