Where did you grow up and where do you live now?

I grew up in Heartland, also known as the Midwest Overpass, in Des Moines, Iowa. I have lived in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Seattle, Santa Barbara and now the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. I credit growing up in the Midwest with my ability to spot bullshit in the entertainment industry!

Your first musical memory.

My mom loved to play the piano and sing, and we also had a big jukebox. I remember my mom brought home Simon & Garfunkel’s Sounds of Silence vinyl record and my dad thought it was too radical.

Your first concert.

My first gig was Talking Heads on the Stop Making Sense tour! Since then I have been hooked on live music.

I have so many favourites, but some are Nick Cave, Radiohead,…
