It wouldn’t be a week in XR unless Meta was in the news. This week brings the showdown with the FTC to federal court in San Jose. The FTC filed a lawsuit to block the acquisition of Within by Meta, the virtual reality company behind the hit fitness game “Supernatural,” for $400 million. It’s been a while since there’s been any kind of antitrust enforcement, so this seems an unlikely place to draw the line.
