ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said during his State of Downtown address that the metaverse will help Orlando grow over the next three decades.

Dyer talked a lot about infrastructure and how the metaverse can help Orlando get their projects done.

Many people in the crowd met Dyer with blank stares, but he quickly connected the dots on how the metaverse could help the city with infrastructure by laying out those plans first in the virtual world and then expanding.

Dyer described the metaverse as “the virtual world in which people live, work, shop, and interact with others, all from the comfort of the physical world.”
