Mozilla has announced the acquisition of Active Replica. The Firefox developer is buying the Vancouver, Canada-based developer to speed up its metaverse campaign. Active Replica develops web-based metaverse platforms that do not require the use of VR/AR headsets.
Active Replica will help Mozilla speed up the development of its virtual reality chat rooms, called Hubs, Mozilla senior vice president Imo Udom said Wednesday.
