Could a virtual reality headset one day replace your office? Dallas-based commercial real estate giant CBRE Group doesn’t think so, but the firm is experimenting with ways the metaverse could help it bring together employees, oversee properties and work with clients.

Different people and companies have their own interpretations of what the term “metaverse” means and what technology in space can do. CBRE sees it two ways, said Sandeep Davé, the firm’s chief technology and digital officer.
