Korean operator SK Telecom has launched its ‘ifland’ metaverse platform in 49 other countries.
It has at least part of each region covered: Asia, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (see below for the full list of countries). Its footprint easily dwarfs that of Facebook parent Meta’s Horizon Worlds; The poster child for the entire metaverse concept is accessible in just seven markets by comparison.
However, there is a language barrier. Ifland is currently only available in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
