The metaverse could contribute between S$0.8 trillion and $1.4 trillion per year to Asia’s GDP by 2035 if investments in technology are sustained over the next five to 10 years, according to new Deloitte research.

In his new report, the Metaverse in Asia: Strategies to Accelerate Economic Impact, Deloitte noted that awareness of the metaverse in Asia is high and that millions of people in the region are already using early metaverse platforms to play games, socialize, create digital twins, attend concerts and buy items.
