Mesmerise, a UK company that helps companies integrate virtual reality into their operations, has opened its first US office in Santa Monica. Mesmerise said the new office will allow the company to deepen its support for US customers and enable expansion.

Founded in 2016, the company’s team has grown sixfold in the last two years. Santa Monica was selected so the company could take advantage of the city’s ever-growing talent pool and tech market, according to Mesmerise.

Companies like Morningstar, Wells Fargo, and Allianz use Mesmerise’s software platform called Gatherings to host virtual meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
