As part of Dubai’s ambition to become a global hub for metaverse business and technology, the emirate recently opened its first hospital in the metaverse built by UAE-based healthcare provider Medcare.

The Metaverse health center mirrors Dubai’s real-world Medcare Women & Children Hospital and will be used in its medical tourism initiatives, giving potential patients an immersive experience of the hospital before visiting it in person.
Announcing the launch, Dr. Shanila Laiju, CEO of Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centers, said, “Our ultimate goal is to deliver real healthcare services by incorporating real-time consultation delivery through our team of more than 400 medical experts”.
